One of the best restaurants in Kapaa, Sam’s Ocean View Restaurant + Bar is a Waterfront Restaurant in Kapaa, established in 2015 by Samantha Reynolds and Jill Petrarca. Sam was born in South Africa and immigrated to the US with her family at a young age. A US citizen, Sam has also traveled and worked throughout the US, Europe, South Africa and the United Kingdom, before settling in Kauai in 2013.
Jill Petrarca a native of Rhode Island and long term resident and restauranteur of Santa Barbara spear- headed the kitchen and Samantha the front off house operation. Together they created a Kaua’i hotspot establishing a great reputation amongst locals and tourists. In 2019 Jill went back to California and Sam is now sole operator working with original head chef Bodhi Mack and a core of long term employees.
Sam has created a beautiful Ocean Front Restaurant on Kauai, a place where people come together for great food, drinks, ambiance and fun. EVERY DAY GOOD FOOD using the best ingredients , quality cuts of meat and daily changing fresh fish options. Aloha to our fisherman for allowing us to prepare the Best Fish and Chips on Kauai!
